GREYTOWN
DEATH OF MR G. H. HART (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred at the Greytown Hospital on Monday of Mr George Henry Curtis Hart. The late Mr Hart was 88 years of age and had been a prominent figure in .the early days. Of a happy disposition, he had been a great favourite with the staff and inOnates of Buchanan Home for many years. GIRL GUIDES VISIT TO EXHIBITION. The Greytown Company of Girl Guides under the supervision of Mesdames G. R. Jury and V. Kempton, visited the Centennial Exhibition yesterday. The present transport arrangements for parties visiting the exhibition from the country are far from satisfactory. The Girl Guides had to travel in three busses before arriving at the exhibition and the same applied to the return journey. The first bus took them to the foot of the Mangaroa Hill, the second bus to the Railway Station, and’the final one to the exhibition. Personal. Mr H. Trotman, Senr. will leave tomorrow for Auckland by air. Centennial Rest Room. The framework of the Greytown Centennial Rest Room was raised this morning by the contractor. Fruit Crops. It is expected that cherry picking will finish today. Black currents are now being picked. The raspberry crop will b& ready just after'Christmas.
