BOWLING CONTESTS CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS. ("Times-Age” Special.) Club championship games were played last evening and resulted as follows: — Champion pairs—Simmonds and Riggs (s) defeated Newbould and Hughan, 31/13; Harris and G. Jlart (s) defeated Lynch and J. G. Stevens (s), 18/17; Underhill and Harp (s), defeated Smith and Sorensen (s), 25/20. Progressive pairs—Beaven and Riggs (s) beat Aplin and Callender (s), 27/ 14; Dudson and Callender (s) beat Kilmister and Hughan (s), 25/17. The following is the draw for the third round of the champion pairs: Two lifers Hawker and De Lacey (s) v Harrington and R. Thompson (s); Simmonds and Riggs (s) v Kilmister and Beale (s). One lifers—Underhill and Harp (s) v Boyne and Barber (s); Bain and Tucker (s) v Calender and Martin; Haris and G. Hart (s) v Newbould and Hiighan (s). The games must be completed by January 13. Personal. Private Burnett Bricknell, who is on leave from camp is visiting relatives in Wanganui. He will arrive in Carterton to spend his Christmas with his mother in Kent Street, and wil stay in Carterton until his final leave has expired.
