CHURCH SERVICES
Special music will be provided in the Methodist Church on Sunday evening, when the well-known junior choir, under the leadership of Miss Ivie Donald, will lead the praise service and sing anthems, trios and solos. The Rev. Frederick J. Parker will be the preacher, and his subject will be, "It is Tone that' Makes Music." At the morning service Mr Parker’s subject is "Democracy and Christianity." At the Kuripuni Methodist Church tomorrow the morning preacher will be Mr F. G. Rutter, while at night cars are available from the church to take worshippers to the town church. The Methodist service at Rangitumau at 2 p.m. tomorrow will be conducted be the Rev. Fred. J. Parker. Christmas carols will be sung at the 11 a.m. service at St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow. The vicar will preach an end-of-school-year sermon on "Courage’’ in the morning, and on "True Patriotism” in the evening. The Rev. Hepa Taepa will be the preacher at Kuripuni, and the Rev. V. W. Joblin at Upper Plain at 7 p.m. The services at Knox Church tomorrow morning and evening will be conducted by the Rev. J. Davie, who will also preach at Kaituna at 2 p.m. Communion services will be held at Knox Church in the morning and evening. The quarterly communion service will be held in the Lansdowne Church tomorrow at 11 a.m.. and a supplementary communion at the close of the evening service. The Masterton Baptist Fellowship will hold services tomorrow at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mr A. E. Lonsdale will be the preacher. The Sunday school will meet at 10 a.m. Colonel Grattan, the chief secretary of the Salvation Army in the Dominion. will conduct the morning service al the Salvation Army Hall. Masterton. tomorrow morning at 11 o’clock. Major Mahaffie will conduct the evening service. All are heartily invited to these services.
