BOMBARDMENT BY SOVIET SHIPS FORTRESS APPARENTLY UNDAMAGED. NUMEROUS RUSSIAN TANKS WRECKED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, December 1. Three Russian warships bombarded Hanko Island all the morning. The entire population huddled in shelters for hours, but the fortress is apparently undamaged. The modern Finnish harbour of Liinahamari, the terminus of Hie Baltic to the Arctic Road, has been bombed and the entire town is aflame. Two hundred refugees from tiie town entered Norway. The Finns are reported to be holding out at the Karelian Isthmus and to have wrecked numerous Russian tanks.
