ORDER OF DRUIDS
STONEHENGE LODGE. MEETING IN MASTERTON. The Quarterly Summoned Meeting of the Stonehenge Lodge of Druids was hold in the Foresters Hall last night the A.D., Bro N. Keightley, presiding over a good attendance. The District President, Bro A. Stretton, was present and was received with lodge honours. One clearance was accepted on behalf of a brother from the Albion Lodge, Napier. The Christmas Tree Committee reported that arrangements were complete for the Christmas Tree function which is to be held on the Y.M.C.A. Hall on Saturday, December 16. Bro Brock, now a resident of Fiji, forwarded an interesting letter on life on the island. The Grand Lodge executive notified the lodge that they would visit Fernleaf Lodge. Greytown, on December 6. all lodges in No. 1 District being invited to attend. The Masterton Odd Fellows Lodge challenged the Druids Lodge to a game of indoor bowls, which took place at the close of the meeting. After an interesting game an enjoyable social evening was held. The election of officers resulted as follows:—J.P.A. Bro N. F. Keightly; A. Bro A. G. Swinn; V.A.. W. A. Hearle; secretary. H. A. R. Dunderdale; treasurer. .1. Buckton; 1.G.. A. H. Mudgway; 0.G.. F. Gray. A.D.B.’s, A. W. Russell and W. Pike; V.A.B.’s, L. B. Welch and W. R. Pawson; musician. ' C. F. Mills; M.C.. T. W. Pickett. The new officers will be installed by the District President on Monday. December 10. at the conclusion of which a social evening will be held. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £5O 13s 2d were passed for payment.
