VIOLENT EARTHQUAKE

A violent earthquake in Anatolia caused most serious damage. Many were injured and dozens were buried beneath debris. So far eighteen persons are reported to have been killed. WIDESPREAD HAVOC. FEARS THAT HUNDREDS HAVE BEEN KILLED. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) ANKARA, November 23. Six villages and the town of Erzingan were destroyed. It is feared that hundreds have been killed and thousands ( made homeless by the earthquake. Tremors in Eastern Anatolia lasted for 24 hours. Cable
