WOMEN’S DIVISION PAHAUTEA BRANCH MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The final meeting of the year of the Pahautea branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was presided over by Mrs Ross, there being a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs Farquhar and Miss Corlett. It was decided to send a donation to the Women's Division Rest Home, Palmerston North. The flower competition was won by Mrs Siemonek with Mrs McKay second. The wits and bits competition was won by Mrs Duffy. Mrs Grant provided an interesting wall competition which was won by Mrs Sadler. The first meeting in the New Year is to be held in March. The hostesses in connection with the afternoon tea were Mesdames Grant and Corlet. CROQUET TOURNEY YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. The Wairarapa croquet tournament was continued yesterday with the following results: — Ladies' singles: Mrs Saunders beat Mrs Polson 26-17. Club pairs: Mesdames Polson and Bassett beat Mesdames Langford and Watson 26-23. Championship doubles: Mrs Saunders and Miss Lyford beat Mesdames Walker and Petrie 26-22. Post entry: Mesdames Langford and Viles beat Mesdames Watson and Ayre. CRICKET WIN FOR FEATHERSTON. The first match of the season was played during the weekend on the local ground in perfect weather between the Cross Creek and Featherston Cricket Clubs. Featherston 126 runs and Cross Creek 101. Personal. Mr and Mrs W. J. McGill, of Napier, were visitors to Featherston during the weekend.
