MASTERTON CLUB. (Notes by “The Bowler.”) The Masterton clubs greens were well patronised by bowlers on Saturday afternoon last, and many pleasant and interesting games were played. Perry (s). J. V. Gordon and A. Henderson (s), beat J. Finlayson and A. Stubbings (s). J. Skeet and W. Christian (s), beat W. Lewis and A. Chapman (s). Champion Singles. E. Reid beat J. Hunter, F. Evans beat F. Clift. G. Beecroft beat Tamblyn, G. Hayne beat Trevorrow. J. Campbell beat A. Henderson. Handicap Singles. In the handicap singles, the only game played was between W. McCullough and H. IT. Daniell, and after an interesting finish, resulted in a tie. As the players had different handicaps. 1 the match its to be replayed. Pennants. I The holders of the pennants, J. Rus- 1 sell and ,1. F. Roberts (s) withstood a * challenge from L. T. Wylie and V. Gooding (s). Wylie played particuarly good bowls, considering that he only joined the club this season. Club Fours.
