RIVERSIDE CLUB WEEKEND MATCH. TOWN TEAM DEFEATS COUNTRY Played under congenial golf conditions on the Riverside golf links over the weekend a match was played between Town and Country golfers. The team representing town golfers won by 10 wins (2 games all square) to Coun-
try’s 4 wins (2 games squared). The match was a decided success and several interesting games were witnessed. Under the capable guidance ol the secretary of the Riverside Club, Mr D. Costello, the match was smoothlycarried out. Details are as follow. Town players being mentioned first in each instance: — Connolly beat O. Williams; R. Plummer beat Wyeth; Candy and Bell, all square; Baker lost to Johansen; Hendry beat Bartholomew; Pool beat Armstrong: Hatch lost to Ross; Wearne lost
to Sykes; C. Roff beat Joy; Wakelin beat Murdock; Orrell beat E. Williams; Braggins beat Knox; Carstens lost to Boyce; Leigh beat Glover; McCalmont. lost to Nitz; Wellington beat Juno. The morning stableford was won by R. Plummer, 34 points, and the afternoon fourball by F. Pool and J, Wakelin, 6 up.
MASTERTON CLUB CLOSING DAY COMPETITION. The best cards handed in for the mixed foursome competition played bymembers of the Masterton Golf Club on closing day last Saturday were: — Miss E.
