CROQUET TOURNAMENT YESTERDAY’S RESULTS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Wairarapa Croquet Tournament was continued yesterday when play was again of a high order. The following were the results: — Open championship: Mrs Walker beat Mrs Saunders 26-16; Mrs Bassett defeated Mrs Polson 26-6. Eva Card Cup: Miss Lyford beat Mrs Doggett 26-21. Ladies’ championship: Miss Lyford beat Mrs Walker 26-21: Mrs Petrie beat Mrs Walker 26-20; Mrs Saunders beat Miss Lyford 26-12. Handicap singles: Mrs Polson beat Mrs Benton 26-25; Mrs Polson defeated Miss Nix 26-22. CRICKET WEEKEND MATCH. The first match of the season will be played during the weekend when the Cross Creek team will visit Featherston, play to commence at 1.30 p.m. The Featherston team will be selected from the following: C. Buck, P. Ritchie, B. Hoskings, I. Donald, J. Donald. J. Fraser, E. Robb, D. McKenzie, R. Lett. W. Taylor, J. Davis, R. Hutchings C. Pike. E. McLeod, L. Smith, McKenna. Frew, Bargh. Any member who is unable to play is asked to communicate with the secretary, c/o Railway Station Featherston. INTERHOUSE MATCHES. The interhouse cricket matches played on the Recreation Ground, resulted: A teams: Girls, Rata 24, Nikau 21; Konini 36, Kowhai 36. Boys. Rata 32. Nikau 22; Konini 36, Kowhai 36. An Outstanding Success. At the flower show at Featherston. Mrs. Archie Clark had a particularly fine display of roses which attracted considerable attention. She was awarded the points prize with 47 points.
