SUMMER BLOOMS
SHOW AT CARTERTON WOMENS INSTITUTE EFFORT. EXCELLENT DISPLAY OF FLOWERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual Summer Show under the auspices of the Carterton Women’s Institute was held in the Band Room, Carterton. yesterday afternoon and proved to be an unqualified success from every point of view. The display of cut flowers and the designs in decorative exhibits were outstanding. The executive committee worked hard to make the show a success and thej' succeeded in a very thorough manner. The secretary, Mrs Rex Porter, had the arrangements complete in every detail and carried out her duties in a very capable way. There was a large attendance of the public and many complimentary remarks were made regarding the excellence of the blooms exhibited. The judges were: —Cut blooms. Mr F. Knutson: decorative, Mrs W. Robieson; home industries, Mrs E. W. Allen. The president of the circle. Mrs H. Knutson, congratulated the exhibitors on the excelle'nt of their entries. She felt sure that the judges had had no easy task m making their awards. She officially declared the show open. The following awards were made: — CUT BLOOMS. Stewards: Mesaames H. Hughan, R. P.
