MASTERTON CLUB’S CLOSING DAY REVIEW BY THE PRESIDENT. He stated that the club, as a club, had had a very good season, having been successful in retaining the Wilson Cup by drawing with Manawatu and winning the Oke Eketa Cup from Hutt. Mr Sellar complimented the winners of all trophies, particularly the winner of the club championship, Mr. T. 11. Horton, who first won the championship in 1917 and had been club champion for 15 years. He also congratulated the lady champion, Miss Jury, and the winner of the president’s trophy. Mr. Eric Henderson. Mention was made of the wonderful success of one of the club members, J. P. Hornabrook, in winning the New Zealand Open Championship, the Amateur Championship, the Jellicoe Ctip and the Bledisloe Cup at the recent championship meeting held at Miramar. The club's secretary would be asked to convey the congratulations of the whole of the members. The thanks of the club were extended to those members who had erected the boundary lence at the northern end of the links. The following members of the club had responded to the call and | were now in camp: R. Bassett, P, How- ! den. F. G. Fuller, T. C. Wynne, W. T. I Eiby. H. S. Budd, T. W. Horton and J. ! V. Reed. The trophies won by the lady members during the year were then presented by the ladies’ president, Mrs. G. W. Sellar, and trophies for the men's championship and other events by the president.
