SPICER—TAYLOR.
A -charming and colourful military wedding took place at the Presbyterian Knox Church, Masterton, recently when Dorothy Isabel!, second daughter of Mr and Mrs F. Taylor, Lansdowne, was married to Company-Quar-termaster Sidney Harold Spicer, fourth son of Mr and Mrs E. Spicer, South Road, Masterton. The guard of honour was drawn from the local Territorial unit.
The officiating minister was the Rev John Davie, the ceremony being a choral one.
The bride was attired in magnolia brocaded satin beaute, cut on slimfitting lines. Her bouquet was to tone. The bridesmaid, Miss E. Taylor, sister of the bride, was gowned in Pompadour crinkle sheer, cut on similar lines to the bride’s dress.
Company Sergeant-Major J. K Welch was best man.
During the signing of the register Miss Nonie Malmo gave a beautiful rendering of “Because.” The reception was held at the Prince of Wales Hotel, where Mrs Taylor, gowned in black floral with bouquet to tone, assisted by Mrs Spicer,. who wore a brown costume and accessories to match, received her guests.
When Mr and Mrs S. Spicer left later on- a tour south, Mrs Spicer was attired in navy blue costume and accessories. They have taken up their residence in Masterton.
