MONTHLY MEETING. GRANT MADE TO Y.M.C.A. The chairman. Mr H. P. Hugo, presided at the monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust, last night. Others present were: Messrs J McFarlane Laing, A. Owen Jones. C. E. Grey, H. H. Daniell, R. Krahagen E. G. Eton. R. Page. Leave of absence was granted Mr J. H. Handyside. "It was a good show but there was t poor attendance.” said Mr H. H. Daniell. when the Trust discussed the question of allowing the Y.M.C.A. the Opera House rent free when its annual display was held on Wednesday night. The chairman, Mr H. P. Hugo: “We must stick to our guns and not allow any body to have the house free of rent.” It was decided unanimously to make the Y.M.C.A. a grant of £7, approximately the amount of the rent and house expenses.
