BASEBALL

FIRST PRACTICE TOMORROW. The prospects for the season were considered quite bright by members of the Wairarapa Baseball Association, who met last evening. It was stated that five .teams—|Borthwick’s Bears, Pirates, Reliance, Territorials and Hospital—would be taking part in the competitions. The Hospital team was a new one, playing for the first time this season. It was decided to hold a practice for all teams at the Lansdowne grounds tomorrow, commencing at 2 p.m.
