GREYTOWN
ST. LUKE’S GUILD (“Times-Age” Special.) The members of St Luke’s Ladies' Guild met at the parish hall yesterday afternoon for their final meeting for this year. They had as their guests several persons who had assisted at the recent “GipSy Fair.” Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Wood, Carter. Rees. Day. Barcham. and Miss Tate.
The secretary read a report and balance sheet for the Gipsy Fair. After the result had been commented upon Mrs Wiggins proposed and Mrs Beu seconded that a vote of thanks be passed to the president and secretary for their work in connection with the fair. This was carried by acclamation. In view of the result from the fair, it was decided that the guild should abandon the Christmas Hamper effort for this year. All accounts were passed for payment, and a further £5O is to bo paid off the Vicarage.
