EKETAHUNA
LOWER RATES FOR SHEEP AT EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. (“Times-Age" Special.) At the weekly stock sale at Eketahuna yesterday prices were slightly lower for hoggets, ewes and lambs, due principally to a lack of outside competition. The prices for cattle were on a par with those ruling at outside centres. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr Arthur Southey, formerly Clerk of the Court at Auckland and at one time a resident of Eketahuna, celebrated his 94th birthday at Auckland on Monday. He has a number of relatives in the district. Mr E. Goss, who had been an inmate of the Pahiatua hospital for a week, is now under observational treatment at the Masterton hospital.
