TENNIS TOURNAMENT

AT OPENING OF SEASON.

A combined handicap doubles tournament will be held on the Carterton Bowling Lawn Tennis Club grounds on Saturday next when the courts will be officially opened by the President. Entries for this event will close on Thursday next. Personal Item.

Mr W. L. de Lacey and his son, of Mount Eden, Auckland, are visitors to Carterton, on holiday.

Several Carterton residents are visitors to the Canterbury races and were present to see the New Zealand Cup and Derby run. Season’s Wool Clip.

A consignment of this season's wool has' arrived at the Carterton railway station, and is to be railed to Wellington.
