ORDER OF DRUIDS

TOTARA LODGE MEETS.

The fortnightly meeting of Totara Lodge of Druids was well attended last evening, and was presided over by Past Arch Druid. Sister Brazendale, in the absence of the A.D. Bro. H. Torrey, who was absent on account of a recent bereavement. Two members were declared off the lodge sick funds and three were declared on the fund. It was reported that Bro. Cliff Abbott, who is an inmate of Greytown Hospital, was recovering after a recent operation. Bro. T. E. Harland, who was an inmate of Masterton Hospital, reported his discharge from the institution. Sick pay and accounts amount to £26 14s were passed for payment. Owing to the absence of the Arch Druid, the ritual contest, present versus past officers, was adjourned until next lodge night. . A vote of condolence was passed m silence to the A.D. Bro. H. Torrey and family in his recent bereavement m the loss of his infant son. . Bro. Chas. M. Whyte wrote advising that he had been appointed postmaster at Otorohanga, where he had been transferred from Raetihi. The family of the late Mro. D. A. Pickering wrote thanking the lodge for its letter of sympathy in their recent bereavement. Members are asked to remember that next lodge night will be the half yearly meeting, and the election of office] s for the ensuing term will take place

armistice day CELEBRATION IN CARTERTON. Next Saturday will be’ the anniversary of the signing of the Armisticejn the 1914-18 Great War and to commemorate the occasion the Carterton R S.A. will place a wreath on the "memorial in the Park at Carterton. Personals. Mr Jas. F. Wallis, who has been for lhe past six months an inmate of the sanitarium at Rotorua, has returned to his home in Greytown. His health has not improved very much.
