CARTERTON
MARRIED FOOTBALLERS PRESENTATION FROM CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the final meeting of the committee of the Carterton Football Club opportunity was taken to make presentations to three members of the club Who have recently married, Messrs J. Taucher, C. Cook and G. Udy. On behalf of the cjub, Mr A. E. Reid, president, asked Messrs Taucher and Cook to accept a crystal water set each and Mr Udy a pyrex entree dish. Mr Reid referred to the fact that Messrs Taucher and Cook had played through the' grades to senior for the Carterton club and had rendered good service in every capacity, including that of officers of the club. Mr Udy had joined the club at a later date, but had rendered yoeman service since his arrival and had been honoured at being appointed junior selector by the Wairarapa Rugby Union. Mr Reid’s remarks were endorsed by Mr G. Steffert (secretary). Mr C. A. Gray (member of the management committee and member 'of the Wairarapa Rugby Union) and Mr H. J. McKenzie (management committee and referees). Messrs Taucher, Cook and Udy expressed their appreciation of the kindness shown by the club in making them presentations.
