Sir Herbert and Lady Hart are to arrive in New Zealand today from Egypt. Captain Tahu Rhodes has been promoted to the rank of major and has been appointed Railway Transport Officer for the London district. Lieutenant-Commander R. Hunter Blair, who is well known in New Zealand, has been appointed Flag-Lieuten-ant to the Admiral in charge of the Fleet at Scapa. He is a son of Major Hunter Blair. Major A. H. Carrington, formerly of the New Zealand Staff Corps, and for some years connected with journalism in New Zealand, has been appointed Brigade Major of the 182nd (Birmingham) Infantry Brigade in the 61st Division. A visitor to Masterton at the weekend was Private W. Peterson, of the Hawke's Bay Infantry Regiment, who was on leave from camp. He look part in a senior cricket championship match for his old club.
