STRATFORD MEETING
A WIN FOR TAURANGI. FOUR RACES GO TO ONE OWNER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) STRATFORD, November 4. D. Marks, of Fordell, scored a notable training success when he saddled up five winners at the Stratford Racing Club's spring meeting today. Four of these. Tuatara, Red Cat, Taurangi and Scandal, are raced by the Taihape sportsman, Mr William Duncan, and the fifth winner, Russian Ballet, carries the colours of Mr R. Grace. The Stratford club's experiment of holding a one-day meeting in the spring instead of the autumn proved successful. There was a large attendance, fields were good and a totalisator turnover of £17,688 was an increase of £2322 on the sum handled at the club's autumn meeting last season. The weather was warm and sunny, and the track in perfect condition. Results:

NAPIER EVENTS CHARADE WINS PARK STAKES. FLYING TO OKAWA. NAPIER. November 4. Keen racing was witnessed at Napier Park today, and some of the finishes were exceptionally close. The day was fine, except for a light shower. The attendance was fair, but the chib was unlucky enough to strike strong counter-attractions, and the totalisator turnover fell by £705 10s, from £7833 to £7127 10s. The going was fast, and some of the times recorded were better than usual. Results:—
