BASEBALL SUPPORTER

MR .1 D. BAYBUTT FAREWELLED. Members of the committee of the Wairarapa Baseball Association assembled last night to farewell Mr J. D. Baybutt, who is going into camp at Ngaruawahia next week. On behalf of the committee, Mr J. Claridge presented Mr Baybutt with a fountain pen and in doing so, expressed the deep regret of members at Mr Baybutt's departure. As chairman of the committee, he had rendered invaluable service and had been largely responsible for the establishment of the game of baseball in the Wairarapa. All joined in wishing him every success and good luck. Mr Claridge observed that when Mr Baybutt used his fountain pen he would have something that would remind him of his association with baseball in this district.
