GARDEN PARTY

LANSDOWNE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. The garden party held yesterday at the residence of Mrs R. C. Drummond, Lansdowne, by the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church Ladies’ Guild, attracted a large attendance of the public. Among the features of the gathering were competitions for cooking and fancy work, and a baby show, the judges being Mesdames E. J. Brown (babies), T. Jordan (fancy work), and Miss Brown (cooking). The prize-winners were: Fruit cake, Mrs Wrigley; sponge cake. Miss Noeline McLaren; scones, Mrs McDonald and Mrs Dunbar; pikelets. Mrs McNeur; heaviest eggs. Mrs Macßae; best article made from sugar-bag, Mrs Morton; rug, Mrs Wrigley; cushion, Mrs Condon.
