BIDEFORD GOLF CLUB

SEASON CLOSED. / PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Bideford Golf Club held its official closing for the season at the weekend. There was a good attendance of members and friends. The club president, Mr C. J. Percy, congratulated the winners of the championship, and referred to th’e absence of those members who were with the forces, including the club secretary (Mr R. Falloon). He also thanked the ladies for the excellent afternoon tea, and for their assistance in providing afternoon tea throughout the season. The ladies’ president (Mrs C. J. Percy) presented the trophies won as follows: — Ladies’ championship, Mrs T. Falloon; runner-up, Mrs C. Percy. Nett aggregate. (Mrs Hearne Smith’s trophy), Mrs C. Percy. Bogey aggregate (Mrs J. Wrigley’s trophy), Miss Joyce Wrigley. Handicap championship, Miss Joyce Wrigley. Captain’s trophy, Mrs E. Wrigley. L.G.U. medal, Mrs H. Bell. Men’s senior championship, J. C. Bell; runner-up, G. Falloon. Local championship, J. Donald; runner-up, W. Percy. Junior championship, F. Wrigley; runner-up, A. Kerr. Captain's trophy, J. Thornton; runner-up, E. Wrigley. Nett aggregate, S. Falloon. Juvenile championship, Joe Percy. The winners of the closing day mixed foursome were Messrs W. Percy and George McKay. ___
