CHANGE OF CLOTHING

NOW PROVIDED FOR MEN IN CAMP. DENIMS AS WORKING UNIFORM. Some complaints have been made of late that soldiers under training in. the military camps were without a change of outer clothing. Making inquiries on this subject of the Defence authorities yesterday, Mr J. Robertson, member for Masterton, was informed that every man in camp now had a working suit of denim in addition to his ordinary uniform. 1 The kit now issued or being issued to every soldier includes: Two pairs of boots, two suits of underclothing, two towels, one khaki cloth uniform, and one suit of denims. Mr Robertson said he was informed that every man in camp would be supplied with a second khaki uniform as soon as the clothing factories could turn out the necessary supplies.
