Did the Royal Air Force sink the German battleship Gneisenau during the Wilhelmshafen raid? The Norwegian newspaper'“Ardeiderbladet” publishes an eye-witness’s story claiming that a bomb fell down the Gneisenau’s funnel, breaking the ship in halves, but the Air Ministry gives no confirmation of the report. GERMAN OFFER. INSPECTION BY NEUTRALS INVITED. (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON. October 26. - It is reported from Berlin that the Germans have offered to allow neutrals to inspect the Gneisenau.
