CAMP IN SURREY

NEW ZEALAND VOLUNTEERS IN BRITAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON. October 26. Somewhere in the south of Surrey the New Zealand volunteer unit mustered in the most dismal conditions — the first frost of the winter and thereafter a thunderstorm and driving rain. There was no ceremonial muster, the volunteers drifting into camp of their own free will within a time limit. They will be at least three days without uni - forms and will not tackle serious work till next week, when the High Commissioner, Mr Jordan, will pay an official visit.
