AIR FORCE

MASTERTON RECRUITS ACCEPTED FOR SERVICE. ENLISTMENTS IN SEPTEMBER. Included among those who have been accepted during September for service with the Royal New Zealand Air Force are several Masterton recruits. Mr W. van Praagh is at present receiving instruction at the Palmerston North Aerodrome, and Mr F. R. Bassett is joining up with the adfninistrati.ve branch. Mr R. D. Daniell has been accepted for flying training and .Messrs A. H. Stubbings, S. I. Baird. T. W. Horton and R. W. Prout will report for duty on October 24, having also been accepted for flying training. Messrs Horton. Prout and Baird are members of the Wairarapa and Ruahine Aero Club. Both Messrs Horton and Prout are members of the Civil Reserve of Pilots and hold A licences, while Mr Baird commenced training this year for the Civil Reserve and has carried out a small amount of flying training. ,
