GUNS BEFORE BUTTER
ONLY TALK WITH GOERING & OTHER NAZIS SUPPLIES FROM ENGLAND. UNTIL OUTBREAK OF WAR. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, October 4. A Ministry of Information communique states that until the outbreak oi war Marshal Goering and other Nazi leaders, while preaching the gospel of guns before butter, were receiving personal supplies of butter from England. The consignments were usually of about twelve parcels, each of two or four pounds, which were shipped weekly from Bradford, via Cologne, at a special delivery rate described as of Danish origin. In the week before the war, nine parcels were dispatched, of which three were addressed to Marshal Goering, three to Dr. Goebbels and three io Herr Bergmann.
