CARTERTON SALE. GOOD VALUES FOR FAT SHEEP. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co Ltd report:—We held our Carterton Sale yesterday when a fair entry of stock made good values, while store sheep sold at late rates. Springing cows and heifers were in strong demand, and fat dairy cattle also sold particularly well. There was a very heavy yarding of pigs and prices were *«ot up to last week. The following are the prices:— Sheep:—Fat ewes, 20s 6d to 23s Gd; fat hoggets, 20s 7d, 22s Gd to 2Gs Id; fat wethers, to 28s; fat maiden ewes, to 24s 9d; woolly ewe hoggets. 24s Gd to 25s Gd; fat and forward 2th wethers, to 23s 9d; b.f. noggets, to 18s 3d; ewes with lambs at foot (all counted) to 9s 3d.
