INCIPIENT FIRE

SHORT CIRCUIT IN WIRELESS SET., Prompt action by the Masterton Fire Brigade, which received a call at 10.59 o’clock last evening, averted serious damage to the residence of Mr J. A. . Wellington, Cole Street. On arrival lt.l was found that a wireless set had been left switched on, and apparently had short-circuited, being about to burst into flames. The timely arrival of the brigade resulted in the outbreak being suppressed before much damage was done.
