ART UNION DRAWN. FIRST PRIZE TO CHRISTCHURCH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. As far as the principal prizes were concerned, Wellington was out of the running in the “Lucky Future” art union drawn in Wellington last night. Christchurch took the first prize—as was the case in the last drawing—and Hastings the second. Auckland took the third prize, Feilding the fourth, Dunedin the fifth and Christchurch the sixth and seventh. Results are:— » First Prize, £2OOO. G 8394, “Ao te Roa,” Papanui, Christchurch. Second Prize, £lOOO. 70779, “Just Atone,” Hastings. Third Prize, £5OO. 8310, “Change for Better,”. Auckland. Fourth Prize, £4OO. 156733, “Smilin’ Thru,” Feilding. Fifth Prize, £3OO. 37484, “Gee Bee,” Dunedin. Sixth Prize, £2OO. 11566, “It’s Mine,” Christchurch. Seventh Prize, £lOO. 11459, “No Luck,” Christchurch. Among the winners of £5 prizes were: Miss Arlene Smith (Pahiatua), “My Birthday” (Masterton), C. A. Jury, ’ Donald Street, Featherston, “Kiwi” (Featherston), “Visitor” (Masterton) .
