WOMEN’S WELFARE LEAGUE
VISIT TO BUCHANAN HOME. Members of the Women’s National Welfare League paid a visit to the Buchanan Home, Greytown, ' yesterday, an enjoyable time being spent with the old people there. Items were given by Mrs S. J. Munn and Mrs Carstens (songs), Mrs Morion playing the accompaniments. Miss Jean McKay delighted those present with her pianoaccordian items. Community singing, led by Mrs Morion, was thoroughly en - joyed. Matron Higginson, who was presented with a posy, expressed her appreciation of the visit of the visitors. A posy of flowers and a bag ofsweets was presented to each inmate. The visitors were entertained by the ; staff at afternoon tea, Mrs Kummer (president) expressing the League’s appreciation. Cars were lent for the occasion by Mesdames F. C. Daniell, F. Renalls, S. J. Munn and Mr T F. Watson. The following were present: Mesdames R. C. Drummond, T. F. Watson, J. M. Coradine, A. W. McKenzie, N. Kilgour, R. Whyborn, E. J. Coleman, Gi McCracken, E. M. Hodder, B. Iveson, R. Page, M. Kummer, C. Cameron and Wilson.
