NAVY LEAGUE
LONG SERVICE DECORATIONS. MISSES VALLANCE AND SELLAR HONOURED. Miss A. M. Sellar, secretary of the Masterton branch of the Navy League supplies” the following report concerning the visit to the Masterion district of Mr R. Darroch, Navy League secretary, to the various schools of the district, and other Navy League matters: Mr Darroch addressed the pupils of the Solway College, Hadlow Preparatory School, St Matthew’s Collegiate School for Girls, St Bride’s Convent, and the St Patrick’s, Central. Lansdowne, Masterton West, and Te Ore Ore schools. The pupils of the four last-named schools were addressed after school hours. On Wednesday a small afternoon tea gathering was held by the league at which members of the committee were present, Mrs S. R. Gawith ■ having kindly lent her homo for the occasion. There were also present Mr Darroch. Mr T. Jordan (Mayor of Masterton), and Mr Gordon Reid, acting president of the Wellington Navy League, who presented,the long service decorations awarded bv the London Navy League to Misses Vallance and Sellar.
