CHURCH OF EPIPHANY

LADIES - GUILD SOCIAL. A most enjoyable social was held by the Church of the Epiphany Ladies’ Guild when the speaker for the evening was Miss V. Bargrove, Matron of the Church Missionary Society’s Hospital in Hangchow, China. She gave a most interesting and informative talk on the medical side of the church’s work in the mission field. A splendid programme of musical items was contributed to by the following: —Pianoforte solo, Miss Grace Gaudin; vocal solos, Miss Rose Robinson; elocutionary items, Miss Elizabeth Thomas; vocal duets, Mrs J. Burke and Miss O’Donnell. The ladies of the guild dispensed an excellent supper. The Rev. E. J. Rich presided at the gathering and in a few well chosen words introduced the speaker and thanked all those who had helped to make the evening such a success.
