GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY J. C. FEAST. * (“Times-Age” Special.) The finals for the championships were played at the weekend under ideal weather conditions. In the morning the senior game was full of interest, J. C. Feast and B. Kiernan turning on good golf. Feast was 73 and Kiernan 76, and Feast was 2 up at the close of the morning play. The start of the afternoon round saw both players hitting long drives and judging their approach shots with splendid precision. Feast was also holing his putts in fine style, whereas Kiernan, who during the morning had holed long putts, missed several short ones in the afternoon. The intermediate championship went to N. S. McLeod, who proved to be too consistent for A. G. Rhodes. The junior championship .was well fought out between Dr Oakey and E. Williams, Oakey used his putter well to win the match. LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIPS. In the senior division Mrs Horner defeated Mrs E. Thompson, last year’s winner. The intermediate championship was won by Miss Betty Feast, who defeated Mrs G. Ingley. Miss P. Tully won the junior section by defeating Miss M. Skeet. In the consolation games E. Feast beat A. Carter; F. C. Bunny beat J. W. Tate; E. Maddison beat H. W. Feast; Ray Ingley beat G. Brunton. Semifinals: Ray Ingley beat F. C. Bunny; Eric Feast beat E. Maddison. TABLE TENNIS The Methodist Club’s badge winners for the week were: Miss J. McKay and V. Gates. The runners-up were: Miss N. Keltie and E. Greathead. MINIATURE RIFLES CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND.
