KNOX CHURCH
LADIES’ SOCIAL GUILD. LAST MEETING OF SEASON. The last evening meeting of the season of the Knox Ladies’ Social Guild was held in the McGregor Hall on Wednesday. In spite of the inclement weather there was a very fair attendance and those present enjoyed a delightful programme of songs, recitations, competitions and a play reading, those contributing being Mrs Prior, who sang charmingly and was recalled; Mrs Snowsill, who also sang very feelingly and was recalled; Mr Harry Hall was very generous and both sang and recited in his usual taking way. The programme concluded with a play-reading for which Miss Edwards made herself responsible. The accompanist, besides being so useful to the artists, was responsible for a very unusual competition.
