Christchurch still tops the ladder of membership of branches of the New ealand Returned Soldiers’ Association throughout the Dominion. The branch has a membership of 2628, higher than Auckland’s. The Dunedin total is 2064. The president (Mr A. E. Haynes) said that the branch was more than holding its own—it was actually gaining. A silver cup has been given byMr J. Stafford for competition for membership annually among the suburban branches of the-Christchurch Association. Rules have yet to be prepared for the competition.
