MAURICEVILLE
♦ CROQUET CLUB ENJOYABLE GATHERING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The fourth series of Croquet Chit meetings was held yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mrs F. Paine Mauriceville. There was a fair attendance. The gathering was a most enjoyable one. A ladies’ sowing bee and guild was established to help those in distress during the war. A competition was won by Miss B. James. The meeting was brought to a close with the serving of afternoon tea and a vote of thanks to the hostess. EUCHRE TOURNAMENT IN AID OF LIBRARY FUNDS. The third series of euchre tourna ments was held last night at the Mauriceville East Hall, when there was t good attendance. The proceeds were ir aid of the Women’s Division library. The card winners were: Ladies, Mrs H. Nielson 1. Miss M. Larsen 2. Men Mr F. Morrell 1, Mrs Osborne 2.
Supper was provided by the host esses, Mesdames J. Duncan, F. Paine and Wilson.
