MISSIONARY WORK EXPERIENCES IN CHINA. (“Times-Age” Special.) In the Parish Hall last evening Miss Bargrove gave a very interesting talk on her work as matron of the Church Missionary Society’s Hospital at Hangchow, China. Miss Bargrove sketched the nature of the work in the training schools and medical fields for the past 25 years. The hospital at Hangchow was the largest in China and had 450 to 500 beds. Many interesting photos were passed round and questions answered. After supper, which was supplied by the Ladies' Guild, the Vicar, the Rev. J. T. Holland, moved a vote of thanks to Miss Bargrove which was carried by acclamation. Miss Bargrove will return to her work in China in November. MUSIC EXAMINATIONS SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES. Among the successful candidates at the practical examinations conducted recently by Dr. J. T. Station for the Royal Schools of Music, were Miss Olive Stansell, grade 7, singing, and Miss Brenda Bloxam, grade 6, singing.
