CROQUET CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age" Special.) The annual meeting of the Mauriceville Croquet Club was held recently at the residence of Mrs H. Freeman. There was a fair attendance of members. It was decided to open the season at the end of October. Voles of appreciation were passed to Messrs J. McKeown and P. Condon for their assistance in connection with the greens. The election of officers resulted as follows: — President, Mrs McKeown; vice-president, Mrs F. Scherf; secretary, Mrs H. Freeman; committee, Mesdames Trass, Palmer, Milner. Afternoon tea was served. Personal items. Mr and Mrs J. Duncan have returned from their annual holiday. Miss B. James, of Wellington, is visiting her- sister, Mrs J. Baine. Miss A. Childs. Wellington, is spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs M. Childs.
