“SOCIETY SMUGGLERS.” A timely, realistic drama that might find its counterpart In the crime investigation files of the United States Treasury Department, is unfolded in “Society Smugglers,” one of the two attractions showing at the Cosy Theatre which will be finally shown tonight. A vivacious young musical comedy star was chosen to portray the leading role in “Blondie,” the second feature on the programme. Arthur Lake appears opposite Miss Singleton, with four-year-61d Larry Simms as an ideal Baby Dumpling. “SEA SPOILERS.” For all the years of motion pictures, the real romance and adventure in the lives of the United States Coast Guard have been allowed to lie untouched, until Universal turned out a drama, “The Sea Spoilers,” which will be shown tomorrow night at the Cosy Theatre. In this offering, romance and adventure ride high on the crest of the •wave. The story deals with one of the most dangerous and thrilling tasks performed by the Coast Guard—stamping out seal poaching in Alaska. Around the outlaw activities of a seal poaching ring, trying to run the gauntlet of the guns of the Coast Guard, there has been developed an unusual narrative of adventure and romance. Popular John Wayne is the star of this picture, with the Blonde beauty of Nan Grey providing the romantic interest opposite him. Nan Grey shows new talents that indicate ultimate stardom for her. Fuzzy Knight provides inimitable comedy relief and the supporting cast contains such names as Russell Hicks, William Bakewell and Lotus Long. The second attraction is “Wings Over Honolulu,” starring Ray Milland, William Gargan, Wendy Barrie and Kent Taylor. '
