IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. MASTERTON TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD. An offer of assistance in case of emergency has been received by the Mayor of Masterton, Mr T. Jordan, from the Masterton Townswomen's Guild. The secretary of the Guild, Mirs A. L. Bennett, has written as follows:— “We, the members of the Masterton Townswomen’s Guild, offer our services in any capacity you may deem of use in ease of an emergency arising out of this critical time. We sincerely hope and pray that no such emergency will arise, but wish you to know that we would be ready and willing to help in any way possible.” In acknowledging receipt of this offer, Mr Jordan has replied as follows: “On behalf of the public I desire sincerely to thank you and your guild for their offer and if need arises we shall be glad to avail ourselves of your help. I should be glad if you would convey to members an expression of my admiration of their spirit.”
