PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) The friends of Mrs J. V. Reed, of Tauherenikau, will be pleased to learn that she is making good progress in the Kelvin Hospital where she has been for the past fortnight. Miss Hazel Bergh is the guest of Mrs W. James, “Moato,” Upper Plain, and attended the Young Farmers’ Ball at Masterton. Mrs L. Barlow and daughter, of Wanganui, are the guests of Mrs E. Fairbrother, Hayward Street. Mr Staples, who had been away on his annual leave, resumed duties at the local Post Office this morning. Red Cross Society. There was a very good attendance of members of the Red Cross Society at the meeting held on Wednesday night in the Odd Fellows' Hall. Dr G. S. Sharp was the lecturer.
