OBITUARY
, MR JOHN BAIN. Tlie death occurred on Sunday at the Wellington hospital of a well-known resident of the Featherston district. Mr John Bain, after a brief illness. The deceased, who was 75 years of age, was born in Clackmananshire, 1 Scotland, and came to New Zealand at the age of two years, and with his parents settled in Otago. For the last 16 years he and his family have lived at “Strathallan,” South Featherston. He had a kindly disposition, and will be greatly missed. He is survived by a widow, five sons (Messrs, Alex, Cliff. Jack, Harold and William Bain) and two daughters (Mrs Bull of Wellington, and Mrs O’Brien, of Dunedin), and a brother CMr Peter Bain, of Carterton). Miss E. Bain predeeased her father a few years ago. It is' regretted that in a death and funeral notice yesterday the name Donald was substituted in error for that of Bain.
