MASTERTON CLUB ACTIVITIES.

LAST NIGHT’S LADDER GAMES. Interest in the Masterton Chess Club’s activities is being well maintained. At last night’s gathering in the Y.M.C.A. Hall several new members were present, including Mr W. Nops, who was welcomed back after his recent tour overseas. Results of ladder games played last night are: —R. Jamieson !, N. Lamont A; E. A. Heyder 1, Mrs Glen 0; C. Clemas 1, C. C. Judge 0; Miss O. Clemas 0. J. Cartwright 1; N. Burke 0, A. E. Clemas 1.

Members are reminded of the maten to be played at Palmerston North on Saturday between the Wellington Club and Country clubs. Those able to make the trip are asked to communicate with the secretary.
