PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Ace” Special.) Mr C. Fowler, Lower Hutt, was the guest of Mr and Mrs F. Schorl', over the weekend. Mr and Mrs J. Baine and family arc on their annual holiday. Mr Mclntosh, of Christchurch, is relieving at the local railway station. MEMORIAL SERVICE LATE MR J. McGOVERN. There was an excellent attendance of relatives and settiers in the Mauriceville Flail yesterday afternoon, where a service in memory of the late Mr James McGovern was held. The service was conducted by the Rev. David McNeur and Miss M. McNeur presided at the pjano. Mr McNeur referred to the work of the late Mr McGovern, stating that he had done much for the advancement of the district. He spoke on the text: “He Built The Higher Gate into The House of The Lord.”
