TRUST LANDS TRUST
MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust was held last night, Mr H. P. Hugo being in the chair. Also present were: Messrs R. Krahagen, H. J. Handyside, A. O. Jones, J. McFarlane Laing, E, G. Eton; R. Page, and C. E. Grey. Correspondence was received from the family of the late Mr C. E. Daniell. and Messrs A. W„ I. V., and C. Y, McKenzie thanking the Trustees for their expressions of sympathy in their recent bereavements.
The secretaries of the West and Central schools wrote gratefully acknowledging grants made by the Trust to the respective schools. A letter was received from the Masterton Savage Club inviting two members of the Trust to attend their Korero oh September 9. It was resolved that Messrs R. Krahagen and E. G. Eton represent the Trust at the gathering. The Returned Soldiers’ Association wrote thanking the Trust for fixing a special rental for the Opera House for their recent concert.
The treasurer’s report showed that the finances of the Trust were in a healthy state. Accounts amounting to £52 4s 5d were passed for payment. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the chair.
