Temperatures: Absolute shade maximum, 60.6 degrees on Ist (59.7); absolute shade minimum, 24.1 degrees on 11th (24.4). Thus the range was 36.5 (35.3). Mean temperature for the month, 41.2 (43.15). Absolute grass minimum, 16.7 on 11th (17); average grass minimum, 27.7 (29.3); average at one foot underground. 43.45 (40.2). Severest frost, 13.7 on night of 10th (13.4). Days of frost (grass minimum 30.4 degrees Fahr, or lower), 18 (17); of shade temperature below 32 degrees F., 11 (10); of gale, 8 (3); of snow, 6 (1). 'Total rainfall, 7.77 inches on 27 days (3.8); greatest fall, 130 points on 3rd (154).
